Serenity

The messages that we give to ourselves determine our activities.  We therefore need to make sure that the way we have programmed and utilise our mind is empowering, not deflating.

I wanted to share with you the mantra/serenity prayer that I use for myself.

The words and concepts have come from Stoic authors, Zen Buddhists, thought leaders and enlightened beings.

I am here, now, present in this moment

Knowing the things that are in my control

Conscious of the things that are not

With the Wisdom to know the difference

I am Able to recognise and diminish the egoic self

And hear any negative voices for what they truly are

Aware that all I have and all I need Is with me now

I am An Explorer of the Mind, An Adventurer of the Soul

Living a truthful and authentic life,

Connected with my inner being and outer world

I could leave this world now, so I am grateful for the opportunities of this moment

Learning, listening

Aware that I do not know

I do not know

I do not know and am comfortable in this

Knowing This too shall pass

I have arrived in this moment of my journey

Focused on this step alone

Here, Now

My true self

Present

This is it

So be it.
